Canterbury community rugby foundation

Strengthening community rugby at its very foundations.

Helping make community rugby accessible to everyone.

From the symphony of sprigs, the smell of liniment to the applause of the appreciative crowd, rugby has been a rich thread in Canterbury’s fabric for over 140 years. Forging friendships, strengthening communities and building bonds well beyond the side-lines.

As a foundation member you’ll be helping to revitalise that sense of belonging by investing in people, clubs, teams, whanau and community groups: strengthening the game at its very foundations. Continuing to make rugby accessible to everyone, by bridging the FUNDING GAP in participation and inclusion.

WAYS WE CAN HELP

Examples of what funding could be used for.

Travel

From Kaikoura to Oxford, Darfield to Southbridge and even getting across town. If assistance with travel helps to remove a barrier to participation, then an application to the Canterbury Community Rugby Foundation could well be the right place.

Equipment

Pads, balls, cones and water bottles are all essential parts of a quality rugby experience. Unfortunately, they wear out! The Canterbury Community Rugby Foundation is committed to helping enable fun and engagement throughout the club competition. If it’s equipment you need then reach out to the CCRF for assistance.

Infrastructure

While the key part of any club is its people, buildings provide the place to connect, engage, prepare and ultimately belong. If you need a little extra room in reply to your expanding numbers, accommodate the changing needs of the club members or perhaps a little TLC, the Canterbury Community Rugby Foundation is keen to help.
